Snowboarding Surface of the tread

The covering (or base) is an important part of the snowboard and must be highly lubricated. There are different types that can be robust in addition to providing the necessary smoothness. The coating should protect against scratches, and its care should be as simple as possible. However, not all properties can be perfectly combined. A robust and very lubricious coating needs to be waxed more often than a softer surface.

Extruded Base
Extruded polyethylene coating granules are liquefied and poured Snowboarding Surface of the treadthrough a wide nozzle to the desired width and thickness and then placed and glued on the board.

Sintered Base
Polyethylene powder is liquefied and compressed into a cylindrical block that is then peeled away from the surface. This coating is then very roughed up, is able to be high lubricated and takes hot wax on very well.

Graphite base
Graphite coated bases have a polyethylene surface with a carbon black content of 15 percent. This makes them conductive, and therefore prevents a static charge. This dirt can be tightened, which reduces friction.
