Climbing

Types of climbing

Mountain climbing is an activity that involves making ascents on steep walls using both physical force and mental acuity.  The term encompasses all Climbingclimbs that are difficult or impossible to perform using only the lower extremities (feet and legs) and require the use of upper extremities (arms and hands). In climbing there is considerable danger, so one should be sure to use protective equipment.

Types of climbing

There are many ways of climbing depending on the medium in which one climbs, the equipment used and other factors. With regard to the environment in which one scales, there are several:
Indoor climbing (climbing wall or arena), takes place on artificial walls called climbing walls.  This type is ideal for technical training for climbing.
Climbing using rope and a climbing wall.
Climbing bouldering rooms.
Climbing outdoors. Depending on the face of the rock, this is divided into:
Rock Climbing
Alpine climbing. This is conducted climbing in high mountains, with all the implications of the environment (climate, altitude, etc.)

Ice Climbing
Big Wall or Great Wall.
Mixed climbing (rock and ice).
Psicobloc. Climbing without ropes on cliffs over water (sea and lakes).
Urban climbing. This is practiced in the big city skylines. It is usually done alone and is often illegal in many countries.
Bond climbing. This takes place on walls that are not completely vertical and do not have dams for feet and hands.  The main difference between this technique and wall climbing is body position.  Normally the body should be separated as much as possible from wall, but here the body must feel as plumb as possible, leading to the escalation of adhesion.

This is also used to overcome canals and dams lacking dihedrals and slippery for the hands and feet. It is almost always impossible to turn back.  Peace and internal balance are the main conditions for practicing psychic with the escalating safety and pleasure of adhesion.
And since the discipline of climbing is without written rules, we can distinguish their philosophy or ethics by the way the types are called:
Free climbing.
Classic Climbing.
Sport climbing.
Climbing.
Only integral.
Climbing alone.
It depends upon the environment in which one climbs as to which techniques and equipment is used.  Very different technical equipment is needed for ice climbing as opposed to rock climbing.  Between rock climbing and the climbing wall there is not much difference in basic technique, so it is often used as training, but rock climbing requires much more physical resources and technical equipment than climbing wall.
